End Time: 8:30 PM
Description:
Join members of Forgotten Chicago for a presentation about Skokie and Chicago history. Forgotten Chicago is an organization and website that aims to discover and document little-known elements of Chicago's built environment. They will discuss and present photos of their finds and research, including old street signs, overlooked modernist architecture, long gone industrial complexes, and more. Skokie and environs will be represented, including a section about research techniques that can be used to discover information about buildings in your own backyard.

Jacob Kaplan contributes research, writing, and editing to Forgotten Chicago. Jacob’s broad range of interests are often focused on industry, architecture, and urban history. He attends Northeastern Illinois University and lives in Rogers Park.

Serhii Chrucky does a variety of things, including but not limited to photography, design, development, layout, editing, and writing for Forgotten Chicago. He is especially interested in auto-related architecture, vernacular photography, and the built environment in film. When not working on this site, he attends the University of Illinois at Chicago, studying photography and architectural history. He lives in Little Italy.
