A month-long series of free events for adults and children begins on Saturday, February 3.
At 3:00pm, Pippi Ardennia sings jazz classics and original compositions in the smooth jazz style. Pippi has performed at many of Chicago's most respected jazz clubs and has sung for President Clinton, Tony Bennett, and Liza Minelli.
Following the concert, an Opening Reception honors our performers and art exhibits for the month:
- Works from the Guichard Gallery in Bronzeville featuring artists from the African Diaspora genre
- A photographic celebration of New Orleans — photographs from New Orleans before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina.
More information is available on our Black History Month page.
