Parking suggestions

As part of the 2003 Library expansion project, public parking was expanded on the west side of the building and a west entrance to the Library was opened.  In addition to the parking lots on the east and west sides of the building, the following parking areas are convenient to the Library:

  • After 5:00pm on weekdays and all day on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, parking is permitted in the Village of Skokie lot at Oakton and Floral Avenue, across from Village Hall.
  • Public parking is available in the municipal lot on the east side of Floral, and in two municipal lots facing Lincoln Avenue.

When planning your trip to Skokie Public Library, you may want to keep in mind that peak periods at the Village Hall are Monday and Thursday evenings.  The Library's peak use times are Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings.
