Gordon Korman's Visit to Skokie
November 18, 2003
As part of Skokie Public Library's National Children's Book Week celebration, popular young people's author Gordon Korman spent a day at Skokie Public Library. Korman is the author of such kids' favorites as No More Dead Dogs, The 6th Grade Nickname Game, Son of the Mob, and many more. During his visit, Mr. Korman spoke to more than 400 Skokie school students about how his quirky, funny, adventurous books come to life -- from the research process to the writing of the book.
In between student visits, Mr. Korman joined the Youth Services staff for a lively lunch complete with cake and a "dead dog" centerpiece. Take a look!
