Breed gummy worms in ice and infest a cold Halloween drink!
Directions
- Put the worms in an ice-cube tray, letting them stick out of the top and sprawl over the edges.
- Fill tray with water and freeze.
- Add cubes to a clear beverage and watch your friends squirm!

Chicken Dippers Lunch from Whole Foods Market
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1/2 pound) cut in strips, cooked
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Dash or two Tabasco sauce (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon organic cane sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 2 to 3 tablespoons organic blue cheese dressing for dipping
Directions
- Combine vinegar and Tabasco (optional) in a shallow bowl or pie plate.
- Roll cooked chicken in the vinegar to moisten.
- Combine paprika, sugar, salt, and pepper in a sealable sandwich bag and shake to combine well.
- Place moistened chicken strips in the bag with the seasonings and shake well to coat.
- Pack the chicken (still in its seasoning bag) with a lunchbox container of blue cheese dressing on the side. Keep cold.
Complete your Chicken Dippers lunchbox with celery sticks, corn and grain tortilla chips, apple sauce, an oatmeal cookie, milk or alternative beverage.

- Nina's Nighttime Cinnamon Stars from Sprout Online
Supplies
- Star-shaped cookie cutter
- Knife or apple slicer
- Cutting board
Ingredients
- 4 slices whole-wheat bread
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 teaspoon sugar, combined
- 2 teaspoon trans fat-free margarine
- 8 blueberries
- 4 slices of red apple
Directions
- Toast bread.*
- Cut out star using cookie cutter.
- Spread ½ teaspoon margarine on each star.
- Sprinkle each with a pinch of cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place 2 blueberries for eyes and 1 apple slice for mouth.
*Parents should toast the bread, but kids can cut out star shapes and decorate with cinnamon-sugar, berries, and apple slice.
