Created in 2022, this mixed-media glitter painting on sparkled fabric depicts a group of five brown-toned people in formal dress, with their featureless faces directed toward the viewer in what appears to be a multigenerational family portrait. The artist has said of their imagery, “With my own likeness as template, I create faceless figures serving as a stand-in for any queer Latinx youth.” A curved arching header and two bilateral bordering Corinthian columns reminiscent of a United States Social Security card overlay the image with a line made from sequin trim. The entire rectangular canvas is framed by a crocheted border, also reminiscent of the intaglio ornamentation from a Social Security card.
Located on the south wall just to the east of the Café and west of the staircase, on the First Floor.
