Museums & Attractions

Use your Skokie Public Library card to get discounts and passes to participating destinations through the Museum Adventure Pass program. Availability of passes is limited, admission offers vary, and some attractions may have temporary restrictions or seasonal hours. We recommend calling ahead to confirm. View available Museum Adventure Passes.

• Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis to Skokie Public Library cardholders only
• You may borrow one pass per cardholder/family, per museum/location, per loan period
• Availability of passes and museums varies daily

There are three ways to see what is available and get a pass:  

1. Call the library during regular hours: 847-673-7774
2. Stop by the west help desk to check out passes
3. Request a pass online (see below)

Request a pass online

Click "ONLINE Pass Request" on the Available Passes page and fill out the form. Within one business day, staff will review your request during regular library hours and email your pass to you if it is approved.

Passes may not be approved if:

• No passes are available on the date requested
• You already have an active pass for a museum or attraction
• You don't have a Skokie Public Library card or your Skokie card is not in good standing

Download to your device or print your passes at home. Don’t have a printer? Visit our printing portal to send print jobs from your laptop, smart phone, or from computers outside the building to the library.

Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis to Skokie Public Library cardholders only. You can reserve up to three attractions at one time. Some attractions may limit the frequency of reservations and participating attractions and offers are subject to change. View available Explore More Illinois passes.
 

How it works

Visit Explore More Illinois and enter your Skokie Public Library card number. Browse offers by date, attraction name, or location up to three months in advance. Make a reservation using the calendar to choose a specific date.

If you receive SNAP benefits, you can get free or reduced admission to more than 1,200 museums throughout the United States by presenting your EBT card and a photo ID. Search their website by museum name or state to find a participating museum. 

Many museums also offer free days.
