Although holidays can be festive, they can also increase household waste. Let's explore ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle while enjoying the season. Create paper decorations out of discarded books and take home newspaper to recycle into gift wrap, all while discussing how to change consumerism.

Part presentation, part discussion, and part hands-on activity, the Climate Optimism in Action series gives you the opportunity to learn and explore how to engage with the environment in a positive way. Each session will be action-based, exploring a seasonal topic that gives you information and steps to become a climate optimist. Discussions will be led by Angela Stenberg of The Talking Farm.

Teen participants will earn service hours. Fill out this contact form to be added to our list of interested teen volunteers and be one of the first to know about volunteer opportunities.

Email the teen team if you have any questions.
