This month we'll be discussing Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan.
Growing up on the moon, Xingyin is unaware that her mother is hiding her from the Celestial Emperor. When her magic makes itself known, her existence is discovered and she is forced to run away. While fleeing, she meets the Crown Prince, who invites her to train alongside him in archery and magic.
This fantasy book is inspired by the legend of the Chinese moon goddess, Chang'e, and is the first in the Celestial Kingdom duology.
