We are reading Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett.
Emily Wilde is a professor at Cambridge who specializes in the study of fairies. While traveling for her study of the elusive "Hidden Ones," introverted Emily plans to keep to herself, but when she arrives in Hransvik, she comes face-to-face with her colleague and academic rival, Wendell Bambleby, who is frustrating, charming, and infuriatingly handsome. But as Emily gets closer and closer to uncovering the secrets of the "Hidden Ones," she finds herself on the trail of another mystery: Who is Wendell Bambleby, and what does he really want?
