Chicago plays the blues a little bit differently. When the blues performers came from the Mississippi Delta to the packed Chicago jazz clubs, they had to adapt their music to be heard, and they created the iconic and influential style we hear today. Learn about some favorite Chicago blues musicians, the history of the Chicago blues, and how it changed the music that came after.
Each Music Monday event includes a presentation related to music history, followed by discussion.
