Young children are invited to explore nature in the North Courtyard. Be prepared to dig in and get your hands messy.

Drop-in event for children age 0-5 with an adult.

Come enjoy stories and songs in Spanish and English. For families with kids age six and younger. Tickets will be distributed to those present starting at 9:30 am.

Kids younger than eight must be accompanied by an adult. Free tickets will be given to all who attend.

This drop-in playgroup is for babies age 0 to 23 months. Babies can play with developmentally appropriate toys while their grown-ups socialize with other parents and caregivers.

Start your summer reading with the bookmobile at Lyon Park. Pick up a summer reading booklet and enjoy activities, treats, and giveaways.

Skokie civic leaders will review materials collected from residents and local organizations from the year 2025 and seal them away in our community time capsule to be opened in 2050. Reception will follow.

Strange World

Kids in preK-grade 5 and caregivers who are part of an LGBTQ+ family are invited to join our Rainbow Family Club. We'll hang out, chat, have snacks, and do activities. LGBTQ+ kids are also welcome to bring friends who are allies. 

Grab a book and join our reading party. We'll provide snacks and recommendations for your summer reading.
