Imagine your favorite books, in miniature form. We’ll walk you through making cute volumes about the size of a matchbook. 

Make tiny versions of books you’ve read throughout 2025, or create little books as gifts.

Found Poetry is poetry that anyone can write. We'll use visual art (painting, drawing, collage) to create an original poem. No poetry knowledge required—we will be finding our language in old books, magazines, journals, newspapers.

Marlene and Company will visit the legends and the lives of Black performers who created and popularized genres like jazz, blues, rock ‘n’ roll, and hip hop.

Join Melissa Leandro, one of the artists whose work is displayed in the library, in a workshop dedicated to hand-sewing appliqué.

Basic hand-sewing skills required. Materials will be provided. 

The Evanston Dance Ensemble shares a preview of their spring show, which explores the depth and breadth of rock and roll history through original dances.
