Practice reading skills by reading from a familiar book to a friend, family member, or a favorite librarian. 

Come to a "spooky, scary" Third Space Thursday full of crafts for All Hallows Eve. Costumes encouraged, spooky stories may be told--bring yours! Supplies and snacks may be limited. Drop-in event.

Come to the Kids Room in your costume, and we'll parade through the library for indoor trick-or-treating. Bring a bag to collect your treats!

Explore eco-friendly ways to prepare your yard or garden for the winter. We'll discuss winter lawn care considerations such as whether you should rake your leaves and what you can plant now to look forward to in the spring.

Chat with other parents and caregivers while your child socializes and explores hands-on activities.

Grab your dancing shoes and learn how to square dance! Instructors from Glenview Squares will demonstrate and guide you through the basics of square dance. Come on your own or with a friend.

Help plan, publicize, and present a winter event for teens.

Design and create unique projects. We provide the materials, you bring your imagination!

Drop-in event for kids PreK-grade 5. Kids younger than eight must be accompanied by an adult. Limited to 15 kids at a time. 

Kids PreK-grade 5 and caregivers who are part of an LGBTQ+ family are invited to join our new Rainbow Family Club. We'll hang out, chat, have snacks, and do activities. LGBTQ+ kids are also welcome to bring friends who are allies.

Today, we're welcoming the Skokie Yearbook Project for a scrapbooking project. Bring your photos, letters, and mementos to start preserving your memories in a tangible way. Drop in for some creative time.

Navigating Alzheimer’s and dementia can be challenging. Individuals experiencing either, as well as caregivers, are welcome to meet and connect with others.

Families and individuals who need a quiet, uncrowded environment are invited to use the library before we open.

Explore the Kids Room, Teen Room, Studio, and materials on the first floor.
