Need help learning to use resources in the library's makerspace? Staff can help during brief drop-in sessions as you learn to use one of the machines or specific software, or they can provide help with a specific project. 

Interested in your ancestry or finding information on bygone family members? This class introduces all the library has to offer to help you search for your roots.

Step into a story as we learn about zoo animals and their poop from a library book. Kids younger than eight must have an adult in the library during the event. Limited to 12 participants.

Join Teen Library Council volunteers to paint a pot, take home some basil seeds to grow inside or outdoors, and learn about the new library seed cart.

All supplies provided but limited. For grade 6–12. 

Before watching Smurfs at 6:30 pm, visit the Activity Room for some Smurfy blue arts and crafts!

Smurfs

Listen to an interactive book and dance to the beat of musical favorites from around the world. 

Tickets will be distributed to those present starting at 9:30 am. For kids age 0-6 with an adult. Space is limited.

Compete with other kids in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Nintendo Switch. 

Arrive at 10 am to guarantee your spot in the competition bracket. Play will continue until a winner has emerged. Limited to 48 kids in grade 3-7.

The Naked Gun

Create yourself as an anime-style character using step-by-step drawing techniques.

Kids in grade 3-6 attend on their own. Registration limited to 20 kids. 

Children and their grown-ups participate together in this storytime with books, music, and more.

This hands-on class will introduce Google Sheets and its basic spreadsheet options as an alternative to Microsoft Excel. Learn how to navigate the platform, basic terminology, and the basics of entering your data.

Tired of scrolling? Let's make art, eat snacks, and more in a low-stakes, screen-free setting.

For grade 6–12. Free tickets will be given to those who attend.

Kids PreK-grade 5 and caregivers who are part of an LGBTQ+ family are invited to join our Rainbow Family Club. We'll hang out, chat, have snacks, and do activities. LGBTQ+ kids are also welcome to bring friends who are allies. 

Explore composting and learn how to try it at home. We’ll also talk about trash and garbage and where it all ends up. Then test your knowledge with a hands-on sorting game.

Have you ever wanted to be part of a library book discussion group, but you worried that your English language skills were not strong enough?

Enjoy stories and songs in Arabic and English. Tickets will be distributed to those present starting at 9:30 am. For families with kids age six and younger.
