Share your love of Pokémon through card trading, games, and crafts. Bring your cards and any art or Pokémon memorabilia to share. We'll do different activities each month. 

Have you ever wanted to be part of a library book discussion group, but you worried that your English language skills were not strong enough?

Enjoy stories and songs in Arabic and English. Tickets will be distributed to those present starting at 9:30 am. For families with kids age six and younger.

Meet others and learn about current research, assistive devices, and community resources for people who have been diagnosed with an eye condition or have a family member who has vision impairment.

Try a few classic games in celebration of Arab American Heritage Month. Learn more about the fun had by our friends and neighbors from the Arab world.

Learn the basics of 3D modeling using Tinkercad. Kids grade 3-5 attend on their own.

Set within the contemporary design of Millennium Park and against the urban backdrop of downtown Chicago, Lurie Garden has earned a reputation as a premier example of naturalistic garden design.

Enjoy this time to bond with your baby and meet other caregivers. We will introduce babies to the joys of movement, books, and song, and begin to build their early learning skills. Come prepared to sit with your baby on your lap.

Fly Away Home

Enjoy fun stories, rhymes, and songs to build a love of books and reading.

This storytime is for toddlers age 12-23 months with an adult. Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed to those present starting at 10:00 am.

Talk with other members of the community. Tutors from Niles Township Schools' ELL Parent Center will help with conversations and answer questions. 

Free tickets will be given to those who attend.

Need help learning to use resources in the library's makerspace? Staff can help during brief drop-in sessions as you learn to use one of the machines or specific software, or they can provide help with a specific project. 

A business counselor from the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Oakton College can assist new and existing businesses with issues related to financing, marketing, and business plans.

Enjoy a picture book read aloud followed by a fun STEAM project related to the book.

Free tickets will be given to all who attend. Kids younger than eight must have an adult in the library during the event. 

Meet new people in a supportive environment and watch your circle of friends grow. Trained peer volunteers host activities to help you get to know others.
