Let’s make music together. We'll sing songs, use simple hand-held instruments, and move to the beat.

Limited to 20 children age 0-6 with an adult. Registration required.

The Penguin Lessons

Found Poetry is poetry that anyone can write. We'll use visual art (painting, drawing, collage) to create an original poem. No poetry knowledge required—we will be finding our language in old books, magazines, journals, newspapers.

Feeling crafty? Support your library by helping to make supplies and decorations for an upcoming library event. Kids grade 3-5 attend on their own. Pizza will be served. 

The Penguin Lessons

This hands-on class introduces Google Docs. Learn to create documents, share, save, download, upload, print, and more.

Basic mouse skills and a Gmail account are required.

Turning Point Behavioral Health Center provides mental health support for individuals through its Mobile Living Room on a walk-in basis.

Using Windows laptops (or bring your own device), learn how to organize your digital files and clean up the clutter from your computer.

For this cookie decorating spectacular, we'll provide blank cookies, icing, and decorating supplies. You provide the creativity! We may not be able to accommodate dietary restrictions.

Study for finals in a focused environment. Snacks will be provided.

Pick up a lantern, find a cozy spot, and settle in with a soothing outdoor-themed video projected onto a wall. Lights will be dimmed, and a chapter will be read aloud from an adventure novel.

This Oakton College class helps native and non-native English speakers improve their reading and writing skills. 

An English/Urdu-speaking resource navigator with Hamdard Health Alliance will be available for people to drop in to get assistance in determining their eligibility for government benefits and applying for services as appropriate.  

Chat with other parents and caregivers while your child socializes and explores hands-on activities.

The Wild Robot

Talk with members of the community. Tutors from Niles Township Schools' ELL Parent Center will help with conversations and answer questions. Drop-in event.

Need help learning to use resources in the library's makerspace? Library staff can assist for brief drop-in sessions to help you learn to use one of the machines or specific software, or provide help with a specific project. 

A business counselor from the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Oakton College can assist new and existing businesses with issues related to financing, marketing, and business plans.
